Depending on patient volume, urgent care appointments will sometimes be booked beyond 6 p.m.. If you feel your child needs to be seen, please call as early in the day as possible to make sure that your child can have an appointment.

From 5 p.m. until 8 a.m., our telephones are answered by the answering service. After 5 p.m., patient calls are routed by the answering service to our nurse telephone triage service. If you have an urgent question about your child's health that cannot wait until the next business day, you may call at any time and speak with the nurse triage service. There is always a Needham Pediatrics physician on-call to provide back up to the nurse triage service if an unusual or complex situation arises.
